Justaskthem.com - on online customer satisfaction survey company today launched ASK3 - an alternative to the bizrate popup on your checkout success page.
ASK3 employs an inline method of delivering survey questions to website visitors; a full length survey presents only 3 questions at a time. with no popups or any other surprises. As the customer answers, the ASK3 box simply changes to a “Thank You” message. Customers never leave your online shop.
Every web visitor is asked a different set of three questions chosen random algorithm. Every question set includes one overall satisfaction question, one detailed rating and one demographic or comment question. These combinations enable the store owners to conduct statistical analysis, including what they call “correlational driver analysis that produces actionable marketing solutions”.
ASK3 isn’t of course free of cost, their prices start at $50 per month. Like any other research tool, you’ll need to copy and paste the code from the website onto their own web pages. ASK3 allows a choice of technologies to embed their widget -, inline frames, Flash or Java, and can be configured to fit any website.
Does sound like a decent new service, I haven’t tested it out, it’s the price tag that is keeping me away.
“Finally web developers and small to medium sized organizations have access to advanced, world class market research,” said Steve Runfeldt, President of justASKthem.com. “It is no longer necessary for them to face five to six figure prices for comprehensive market research.”
Does he really think market research is THAT expensive even after the invasion of the social internet. Thanks, but i’ll stick to bizrate for now.

Thanks for the review and for providing an opportunity for feedback. I am the president of justASKthem.com, the creators of ASK3. You raise some inportant points.
Pricing is an interesting issue. We also do traditional surveys for major corportations. I just received a price from one of the main industry sources of email survey respondents. These are people who have agreed to receive email invitations to take surveys as a part of a market research panel. Their cost to us for 200 completed surveys would be about $1000 for one project. For another project that price rises to $9000 for 400 completed surveys. So, from that perspective 1000 completed surveys for $50 is a huge bargain.
On the other hand we have desgined ASK3 to be used for online ecommerce on sites like eBay. There a cost of even $10 per auction survey seems to be too high.
The balance is, I believe, in the cost per completed survey and in the number of surveys we can host at one time. If we charge by the completed response at, say, $.10 per survey (that’s ten cents), then someone using ebay could end up paying $10 for 1000 responses in a month from surveys on 200 web auctions, or about $100 per year for 10,000 survey responses. That is not so bad.
On the other hand, if a major company like Amazon or Google wanted to do the same thing, the survey questionnaire would be customized and we would have to host their surveys on their own exclusive servers, so a higher price would prevail.
So, we are looking into determining what would be a fairer price across the industry.
In the meantime, we are looking for beta testers who would like to try ASK3 for free. At this time you can register on our Website and try ASK3 for a free introductory period or you may email us at info at justASKthem.com and request to become a beta tester. As a beta tester we will be talking much more and we will ask you for regular feedback, but the service will be completely free for the beta test period.
Thanks for reviewing our products.
