Starting today – After almost three years since it was first launched, Anyone who wants a new Gmail account will be able to get one, without having to be invited by someone first.

This new link can be seen on the Gmail.com page now
Google already removed the invitation restriction for it’s European users a week before it did for North America. A set of new features have also been introduced today.

Even after all these recent changes, Gmail’s logo still proudly trumpets a Beta badge.
