Belgium based Attentio, has created and just launched version 2.0 of a potentially fantastic product called the Brand Dashboard.

Brand Dashboard lets marketers track how much buzz a brand is generating around the blogosphere and in various social media.
“The need to monitor brands in social media has become vital for companies,” said Attentio CEO, Simon McDermott. “There is now a critical mass of influential bloggers and forum users sharing their opinions. These opinions shape perceptions and buying decisions every day. Companies can’t control the messages any more, but the tools are there to help them understand how they are discussed and how they measure up against competitors.”
Attentio, co-founder and executive director Per Siljubergsåsen Said. “Not only can we gain valuable insights from bloggers, they are often disproportionately influential in determining a new product’s market acceptance or campaign’s success.
Exactly how the brand dashboard tracks buzz is not clear from their press release, nor how much the product costs. It seems, though, that Attentio has a database of influencial Bloggers and social media websites that it tracks for mentions of a brand name which is reported using the Brand dashboard software.
