Just saw this on techcrunch. Looks like e-Bay’s answer to AuctionAds. Not sure if it’s possible to integrate tracking code into the widgets, but I’m sure that’s comming soon. Meanwhile, the widget is great for ebay sellers with blogs and web-stores.

Their account manager was down for 6 hours straight today, and they’re not talking about it, not during the down time, not after it.
When I finally am able to log into CJ, I KNOW that I made double the sales CJ is reporting for yesterday. Again, there’s nothing in the notifications area mentioning that they faced some issues, nothing is the brand new RSS feed they launched, not one email to publishers. Nothing?
WTF, CJ?

I’m addicted to twitter, and today’s post will be twitter style, a few “tweets” in this post. Each less than 140 characters.

I noticed this morning that the number of technorati members that had favorited this blog had gone up from 5 to 40! At first, I thought this was some error with technorati, but quickly realized that there was a meme going on, via Vlad’s post
So, a huge thanks to all those who have added FinalTag.com to their technorati favorites. I would have been really time consuming to add each blog who favorited this blog manually, so I took a tip from Vlad, and used this OPML file to populate my favorites list with everyone who is a part of the technorati favorites exchange meme (which took my list of technorati favorites to 1600+).
Update: Andy beard has detailed how to use the OPML file to import technorati favorites

… and it’s not that the auction service is doing too well. The better than expected profit growth is thanks to shopping.com, paypal, skype and various other web/tech properties that ebay owns.

Ebay earned $377 million in the first quarter, which is up 52 percent from a year earlier and is very impressive growth!
According to this NewYork Times Article, the company had been benefiting from changes in the user experience that had increased the number of auctions leading to sales.
Paypal, notwithstanding the mighty google-checkout, was the biggest revenue driver for eBay with over 30% growth.

Was just browsing my Bumpzee! Feeds and came across this post that I am pretty excited about. Cricket is what everyone is talking about here in India, the world cup semi-finals have started, after all!

And there is a website that I came to know about only now, that sells lots of stuff related to the game, and it also has an affiliate program!
I’m signing up! Unfortunately, the website says “We do not ship outside of the UK.”
which means I won’t be able to buy from them, only sell. Oh well.

Google has announced in an email to froogle merchants (sent a couple hours ago), that the froogle.com brand is now called “Google Product Search” and has a new address at http://www.google.com/products (which is where the froogle.com domain now redirects)
The product search is also in beta, just like froogle was for as long as I can remember. Google was unable to brand froogle well, and looks like they are going to use the Google brand to get their product search engine more visibility than froogle.
There is also a new interface along with the name-change, search filtering options (such as filtering results from one brand or in a certain price range) now appear at the bottom of the search results as against on the top in froogle, at the top of SERPs however, there is only one filter option displayed prominently - “Show Google checkout items only”. The google checkout icons in search results are also somehow, more visible.

Yahoo has recently announced that, (In direct competition with google checkout) they are integrating paypal with yahoo product search results.

What this means is, as you can see in the image above, similar to what google is doing with merchants accepting google checkout, yahoo will display a tiny blue shopping cart icon next to the merchant’s ad listing in yahoo search results (and I am guessing also on it’s network on publishers). This is great news for all those not using google checkout (but using paypal) and should help move some e-retailers from adwords to YSM.

This photograph is of google’s Adsense support team in Hyderabad. There was a post in the adsense blog earlier today stating that google will now provide dedicated support to Indian adsense publishers - Many(Most, actually!) of whom are experts in SE spam and creating made for adsense websites.
Is this new team going to help them create more SE spam? Do they know how unethical these Made for Adsense sites are? Can they help create better SERPs by educating and stopping - at least these Indian adsense publishers from doing it the wrong way?
