Yahoo, Paypal and Shopping Cart Icons

Yahoo has recently announced that, (In direct competition with google checkout) they are integrating paypal with yahoo product search results.

What this means is, as you can see in the image above, similar to what google is doing with merchants accepting google checkout, yahoo will display a tiny blue shopping cart icon next to the merchant’s ad listing in yahoo search results (and I am guessing also on it’s network on publishers). This is great news for all those not using google checkout (but using paypal) and should help move some e-retailers from adwords to YSM.
