Just got my beta invite from my live search - a search engine startup that claims to be the “first true live search engine”.

I’d been looking forward for this beta launch for some time, and was pretty excited upon getting the email with a username and password to test out the brand new SE. I logged in from an ubuntu desktop with firefox that I use as my primary computer at work. What do I see upon logging in? not a search engine, but this:
Your browser/operating system is not currently supported by Mylivesearch.
Wow! a search engine is supposed to be the most basic of web-apps. heh, what are these guys thinking by not supporting, of all things, the firefox browser?!
Update: Just checked again from a kubuntu laptop with firefox, looks like they are supporting firefox now, but I still can’t search from the linux OS - Mac and Linux support, is coming soon, states the page I am shown in place of any search results.

They have got to be kidding!
They were better off postponing the beta launch!
Did they actually expect someone to use IE? They lost me as a user, that’s for sure.
firefox is actually available. i think you should go back and check it again before you say that.
Not Sure why this post is here, I am using firefox and so are all my friends, It works super, I mean really super, I tried both Ie and Firefox version , I prefer it in Firefox, What this crap about no fire fox support,
Goto: http://www.mylivesearch.com/download.php maybe you do not read it, I would check before posting things that are not true. MyLiveSearch Rocks..
smithie,
when I posted this, MLS was showing a message that my browser (firefox) is not supported. when juik commented about a day after the post, that firefox is available, I re-checked MLS. and firefox was, indeed an option at the time.
I use ubuntu linux mostly (I’ve mentioned this in the post), and when i re-checked the mylivesearch website a day after making this post, as I have mentioned in the update - there is, as of posting that update, and yet, as of posting this comment, no linux (or mac) support - checkout the screenshot at the bottom of the post above!
