We all know now that we have been in an economic recession since a year now, hundreds of thousands lost their jobs as some of the biggest and oldest industries (ala banking/autos, etc) crashed this year. That is not the case with e-retail. With almost every major e-retailer reporting a record shopping season 2008, the latest numbers from Amazon.com – with 72.9 items ordered every second this season – are among the best silver linings I have seen to all the economic dark clouds that are in the sky and the news everywhere.
